Southern Yellow Pine grows in a vast band across the Southern USA from Texas to Virginia.

End Uses
Construction, furniture, veneers and plywood.
Remarks
Southern Yellow Pine’s high density gives it natural strength, weight and wearing resistance. It is comparable to hardwood species such as oak, ash and hickory. The wood is amenable to treatment with chemical preservatives.
